Wendy Reed co-chairs the firm’s Marketing and Advertising Law Group. She has practiced exclusively in this area of law for over 25 years, advising extensively on contests, games, sweepstakes, as well as on misleading and comparative claims, regulatory compliance, packaging and labeling, and the laws governing the marketing of food, alcoholic beverages and other regulated products. She has assisted clients in pursuing or defending advertising challenges involving competitors or regulators, and in preparing marketing and advertising related agreements. Her area of focus is now primarily on green marketing issues. She is listed in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and is recognized as a leading marketing and advertising lawyer in Woodward/White’s The Best Lawyers in Canada. She holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating designation (AV). Ms. Reed is the member for Canada of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA), a network of lawyers in over 58 countries. She is a former director of the Canadian Advertising Foundation (now known as Advertising Standards Canada). She has an LLM degree from the London School of Economics, University of London (1983).
