Bernard P. Quinn

Bernard P. Quinn is a partner of Norton Rose Canada. He practices in construction law, product liability and commercial litigation. He is a member of Norton Rose Canada’s construction, engineering and infrastructure and product liability teams. He advises and represents builders, project owners, engineers, financial institutions and manufacturers before all civil jurisdictions in Québec as well as in arbitration and mediation. He reviews and prepares call for tenders and RFP documentation, construction agreements and professional services agreements, with particular emphasis on industrial, institutional, mining, energy generation and commercial projects. He teaches construction law in the master’s program at the Université de Montréal and is a regular speaker on various construction law topics. He is a fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers. Co-author of La Construction au Québec: perspectives juridiques (Wilson Lafleur, 1998), L’édification du nouveau droit de la construction, Maximilien-Caron 1999, (Éditions Thémis, 2000) and Développements récents en droit de la construction, (Éditions Yvon Blais, 2002). Past Chair of the Construction Law Section of the CBA(Q). He obtained a LLM from the University of London (Commonwealth scholar). Québec Bar (1986).
