Mr. Vigmond is past President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and is a former Director of the Advocates’ Society. Mr. Vigmond has published a number of articles and has presented seminars in the area of personal injury litigation and trial advocacy for numerous associations including the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, The Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers´ Association, the BC Trial Lawyers´ Association, The Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Advocates’ Society, the Forensic Accountants’ Association, the American Psychological Association and the Brain Injury Association. He has served as an instructor with the Ontario Centre for Advocacy Training. Mr. Vigmond is a sessional lecturer at Queen’s University Law School, where he teaches Personal Injury Advocacy.Mr. Vigmond has appeared as counsel at all levels of courts in Ontario. In 2003, he appeared as counsel to the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association before the Court of Appeal in McIntyre v. A-G of Ontario, which authorized lawyers to charge contingency fees in personal injury cases. He is a regular featured speaker at the Oatley-McLeish Lecture Series. He is currently a Director and the fundraising Chair of the Canadian Paraplegic Association – Ontario.
