Practice emphasizes the business, affairs and regulation of financial institutions, including commercial banks, life and property and casualty insurance companies, trust and loan companies, and other regulated and unregulated providers of financial services. Involved in all aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations and joint ventures involving financial service providers, as well as regulatory and structuring issues, product development and distribution matters and all aspects of the business of insurance. In addition, advises financial services providers on ownership structures, business powers, permitted investment and related structures, corporate governance and risk management policies and systems, inter-company agreements, cross-border supervision and delivery of services, outsourcing agreements, referral arrangements and mortgage lender and broker licensing matters.
