Called to the Bar, 1989. Designated a certified specialist in Civil Litigation, LSUC, 1999. Eric and his partners founded Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP in 1997, as a six lawyer firm. Today it is 25+ lawyers strong. Eric authors CCH Ontario Accident Benefits Case Summaries, and has an expertise in auto insurance law which is recognized by his peers. Eric has appeared as counsel on countless occasions before FSCO on private arbitrations as well as in the courts. He has appeared before all levels of court including the Court of Appeal and has argued a leave request to the Supreme Court of Canada. Eric frequently speaks at The Advocates’ Society, Ontario Bar Association, and LSUC events, among others, regarding Ontario’s complex automobile insurance legislation. Eric is a past Chair of the Bar-Dispute Resolution Group Forum of FSCO. Eric has been called to make submissions to the government on various contemplated legislative changes.
