OMERS Realty Acquires Two Industrial Buildings in Ontario

On November 15, 2006, OMERS Realty Corporation purchased properties consisting of two industrial buildings comprising over one million square feet of industrial space in Vaughan Ontario, from a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Group Technologies, for $82 million dollars.

OMERS Realty Corporation was represented by McCarthy Tétrault LLP, with a team consisting of Abraham Costin (real estate), Jamie Orzech (real estate) and Oliver Borgers (competition) with assistance from Renée Vézina, vice-president legal with Oxford Properties Group.

Royal Group Technologies was represented by Gray & Associates with a team led by Robert Gray with assistance from Scott Bates, vice-president and general counsel with Royal Group Technologies. Competition matters for Royal Group Technologies were handled by Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP with a team led by Brian Facey and Julie Soloway.
