Southeast Corner of Yonge and Bloor Street Purchased for $62.8M

On December 13, 2006, One Bloor Street East Ltd. purchased a retail/residential development site in Toronto located at the southeast corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets, for more than $62.8 million. One Bloor Street East Ltd. purchased the property on behalf of a limited partnership representing the interests of Bazis International Ltd. and Lehman Brothers. The vendor was a member of the Kolter Group.

The purchaser was represented by Leor Margulies and Anthony Romanelli of Robins, Appleby & Taub LLP. Purchase-assist financing was provided by Société Générale (Canada Branch), represented by its director of real estate finance in Canada, Charles Blue. Société Générale was represented by William McCullough, Tzen-Yi Goh and Vernita Tsang of McCarthy Tétrault LLP. Lehman Brothers was represented by Jim Shanks, David O'Brien and Robert Willetts of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP.

The vendor was represented by Stephen Belgue and Jeffrey Shore of Goodmans LLP.
