Silverman of Borden & Elliot acted for the arrangers, Barclays Bank PLC and Deutsche Bank AG, and for a syndicate of lenders, consisting of The Bank of Nova Scotia (Administrative Agent), Deutsche Bank Canada, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Standard Bank London Limited, Dresdner Bank Canada, National Bank of Canada and NM Rothschild & Sons Limited, in connection with a US$100 million 8-year lending facility to Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited. The facility is intended in part to finance the expansion of Agnico-Eagle Mine Limited’s LaRonde Mine near Cadillac, Quebec.
