Air Canada Completes Financing of Boeing Pre-Delivery Payments

On October 30, 2007, Air Canada completed a US$575 million financing of pre-delivery payments for four Boeing 777-220LR and six Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts with a syndicate of lenders led by Calyon.

Air Canada was represented by in-house counsel, Anna-Maria Masciotra, Jeffrey Wood and Andrea Sepinwall, and by Bennett Jones LLP, with a team comprised of Patrick Brennan (corporate), Stephen Bowman (tax), Martin Sorensen (tax), Tara Mackay (corporate), Lindsey Hutton (corporate) and David Dorrans (corporate).

Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP acted as Canadian counsel to the Lenders with a team comprised of Donald Gray, Bogdan Teofilovici, Daniel Bourque, Alex Tarantino and Dahlia Tessler, and Pamela Williams of Cox & Palmer acted as special PEI counsel. Payson Coleman, Mark Lessard and Matthew Murphy of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP acted as US counsel to the Lenders, while Marcie Lombardi acted on behalf of The Boeing Company.
