Anvil Mining Completes $201M Bought Deal

On June 7, 2007, Anvil Mining Limited, a copper and silver mining company listed on the Toronto and Australian stock exchanges, completed a bought deal financing of 12,384,615 common shares at $16.25 per share, for gross proceeds of $201,249,994. The net proceeds of the offering will be used primarily for development of Anvil's mining projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo, working capital and for general corporate purposes.

Paradigm Capital Inc. and BMO Capital Markets acted as co-lead underwriters in connection with the offering together with a syndicate that included Haywood Securities Inc. and RBC Capital Markets.

Anvil was represented by Lawson Lundell LLP with a team that included Gordon Chambers, Jane Murdoch and Cheryl Hsu. Heenan Blaikie LLP acted for the syndicate of underwriters, with a team that included Sonia Yung, John Place and Jason Caron.
