BC Gas Establishes Debt Programme and BC Gas Utility Renews MTN Programme

BC Gas Inc. established a $1 billion debt securities and unsecured debentures programne by way of a base shelf prospectus filed on November 21, 2001. The next day, BC Gas established a $700 million MTN programme by way of a prospectus supplement to the base shelf prospectus. The first issue of $200 million MTNs was completed on November 30, 2001. On November 21, 2001, BC Gas Utility Ltd., a subsidiary of BC Gas and one of the largest natural gas distribution companies in Canada, renewed its $500 million MTN programme.
