BlueCat Networks, Inc. completes sale to Madison Dearborn Partners LLC

On March 21, 2017, BlueCat Networks, Inc. (BlueCat), one of Canada’s most successful emerging technology companies, completed its sale to US private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners LLC (MDP).

Blue Cat’s leading Domain Name System (DNS) solution enables customers to manage and secure corporate networks.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP acted as US counsel to MDP with a team that included Jeffrey Richards, P.C., Jon-Micheal Wheat, P.C., Amy Catherine Livingston and Katherine Gause. Stikeman Elliott LLP acted as Canadian counsel to MDP with a team that included Peter Castiel, Kevin Custodio and Hélia Taheri (M&A), Frank Mathieu and Philippe Kattan (tax), Nancy Ramalho and Jessica Pietrusiak (employment) and Aiden Talai (benefits).
