Bombardier Issues Shares to Public

Bombardier Inc. successfully completed an offering to the public in Canada of 9.4 million 6.25 per cent series 4 cumulative redeemable preferred shares for gross proceeds of $235 million on March 8, 2002. The dealer syndicate for the programme, led by CIBC World Markets Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc., included National Bank Financial Inc. and BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. The proceeds of the offering will be used to repay short-term indebtedness.

Bombardier was represented by vice-president and assistant secretary Daniel Desjardins, assisted by Paul Raymond, Solomon Sananes and Natalie Brown of Ogilvy Renault. Jean Marc Huot, France Margaret BĂ©langer and Nicolas Vanasse of Stikeman Elliott provided advice to the underwriting syndicate.
