Brookfield Asset Management Completes $300M Note Offering

On March 8, 2010, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (“Brookfield”) completed an offering of $300 million principal amount of 5.2 per cent unsecured medium term notes due September 8, 2016 (the “Notes”). The Notes were offered through a syndicate of agents led by CIBC World Markets Inc. and RBC Capital Markets and included Scotia Capital Inc., BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., TD Securities Inc. and HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. The net proceeds of the offering will be used to repay indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
