DEGI INTERNATIONAL Purchases Ottawa Telus Tower

On December 27, 2007, DEGI INTERNATIONAL purchased from the Broccolini Group a building known as the “Telus Tower,” and located at 215 Slater Street in Ottawa. The building, being a 109,000 square foot, Class AAA office tower, is fully leased to Telus Communications Inc. and is the first Silver LEED designated building in Ottawa. The designation involves using environmentally friendly building materials and meeting rigorous energy efficiency standards. The acquisition price was $66,500,000.

DEGI INTERNATIONAL, an open-ended fund sponsored by Dresdner Bank, was advised by a team from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP led by Mark Brennan and assisted by lawyers Tony Baldanza, Robert Elliott, Linda Huynh, Mark Magro and Dugan Edmison.

The Broccolini Group was advised by a team from Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP led by Phil Rimer and assisted by lawyers Doug Quick, Sonja Homenuck, Shannon Miller and Jaclyn Marmara.
