DPF India Opportunities Fund Completes $250 Million IPO

On August 14, 2007, DPF India Opportunities Fund (the Fund) completed its initial public offering of 25,000,000 units (Units) at a price of $10.00 per Unit, each unit consisting of one trust unit (Trust Unit) and one trust unit purchase warrant, for gross proceeds of $250 million. The Fund is a closed-end investment trust that was established with the primary objective of investing in securities of private and public companies in India. Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Ltd., a division of DundeeWealth Inc., is the Manager of the Fund.

The syndicate of agents was co-led by GMP Securities L.P. and Dundee Securities Corporation and included BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Canaccord Capital Corporation, CIBC World Markets Inc., TD Securities Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc.

The Fund and its Manager were represented by its internal counsel, Roxana Tavana, and by a team from Stikeman Elliott LLP that included Elizabeth Breen, Ivan Grbesic, Tanya Padberg and Jennifer Milich (securities/corporate), and John Lorito and Trevor McGowan (tax).
