EnerMark Issues US$300M of Senior Unsecured Notes

EnerMark Inc., a subsidiary of Enerplus Resources Fund, completed an offering of an aggregate of approximately US$300 million in senior unsecured term notes to US and Canadian institutional investors on June 18, 2009. The offering was made on a private placement basis through Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., as joint lead placement agents, and Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. as co-agent.
