GFL acquires Enviro-Viridis Development Corporation

On March 1, 2016, GFL Environmental Inc. (GFL), by its wholly owned subsidiary Services Matrec Inc., completed the acquisition of Enviro-Viridis Development Corporation Inc. (Enviro-Viridis) for an undisclosed amount.

Stikeman Elliott LLP acted for GFL under the direction of Joy Grahek, GFL’s General Counsel, with a team that included Jeffrey Singer, Tim Chubb, Benoit Dubord, Karine Bilodeau, Rachel Wasserman and Carla L’Écuyer (M&A), Stefan Fews and Marie-Claude David (real estate), Marie-Lou Gauthier (employment), and Michael Kilby (competition). Miller Thomson LLP advised GFL with respect to all environmental and waste management regulatory matters with a team that included John Tidball, Luc Gratton, Adina Georgescu and Romain Droitcourt.
