Groupe Vidéotron Ltée

Bennett Jones represented The Carlyle Group, a U.S.-based investment firm, in its recent $200 million investment in Vidéotron Ltée, the business telecommunications subsidiary of Le Groupe Vidéotron Ltée (a Montreal-based communications conglomerate). This transaction represents one of the largest private equity investments made in Canada. The Bennett Jones team was led by Doug Foster and Alan W. Rubin. McCarthy Tétrault (Montreal) represented Le Groupe Vidéotron. The McCarthys team was comprised of Warren M. Goodman, Hubert T. Lacroix, Janie C. Béïque and Frédéric Gascon. In house counsel for Vidéotron was François Ramsay.
