Ivanhoe Cambridge Residential Acquires Rockill Apartments

On July 6, 2011, Ivanhoe Cambridge Residential, a newly created real estate subsidiary of Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec, announced its first acquisition in Québec, namely, The Rockhill Apartments Complex in Montréal. Built in 1967, the Rockhill is located at the foot of Mount Royal, near downtown Montréal. It is a 1,000 apartment unit residential complex consisting of six towers, underground parking and common facilities. The purchase price was confidential.

Ivanhoe Cambridge Residential was represented by in-house counsel Jenny Ross and by Norton Rose OR LLP with a team that included Mario Caron, Anna-Isabelle Morency Botello, Pierre Pronovost and Carole Gélinas.

The vendor, Rockhill Investments Ltd, represented by Robinson Sheppard Shapiro LLP with a team consisting of Eric Boulva, Herbert Pinchuk and Rhona Luger.
