MacDonald, Detwiler Raises $84 Million in IPO

$84 million has been raised by MacDonald, Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. (MDA) in July, 2000 in its initial public offering of six million common shares. Four million of the shares were offered to the public, with the balance being sold as a secondary offering by certain shareholders. The net proceeds of the issue are intended to be used primarily to fund future developments and acquisitions. The underwriting syndicate was led by RBC Dominion Securities.
