On September 11, 2001, Menkes 5000 Yonge Developments Ltd. finalized the sale of its 50 per cent interest in the Transamerica Tower office complex to Transamerica Life Canada. Menkes will develop the $120 million Transamerica Office Complex, a 540,000 square foot office building. Construction is projected to commence in the spring of 2002.

Jules Mikelberg of Goodman and Carr LLP and Adam Brown of Brown Dryer Karol also assisted Menkes in this transaction (land severance and other municipal matters).
