Michael Whitt, QC, leader of Bennett Jones LLP’s information technology practice group, was invited to join the Sedona Conference Working Group 11 drafting team. He is the only lawyer from a Canadian firm to be selected. The focus of the group is data security & privacy liability and responding to cyber incidents. The Sedona Conference is a non-profit think-tank that concentrates on antitrust law, intellectual property rights and complex litigation. It is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
