Morguard REIT Acquires Buildings

Morguard Real Estate Investment Trust acquired and leased back two buildings, Chancery Place in downtown Vancouver and 4000 Seymour Place in Victoria, from British Columbia Buildings Corporation (BCBC), a provincial Crown corporation, for $64 million on July 31, 2002.

Charles McKee and Mandeep Dhaliwal of Lawson Lundell in Vancouver acted for Morguard. BCBC was represented by Keith Burrell and Colin McIvor of McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Vancouver.
