Nasdaq completes acquisition of Marketwired

On February 24, 2016, Nasdaq, Inc. (Nasdaq), by its newly formed, wholly owned subsidiaries, Maiclair Holdings ULC and Farm Church Holdings ULC, completed the acquisition of Marketwired L.P. (Marketwired), a leading global newswire operator and press release distributor company and a portfolio company of OMERS Private Equity. The Marketwired business will expand Nasdaq’s position as a leading global corporate services provider by providing access to Marketwired’s social media targeting tools and analytics, as well as expanding the reach of Nasdaq’s GlobeNewswire.
