Oracle Acquires Steltor Shares

San Francisco-based Oracle Corporation, through a wholly owned subsidiary, purchased Steltor Corporation, the parent corporation of Montreal-based Steltor Inc., for an undisclosed amount on June 21, 2002. Oracle purchased all the outstanding shares owned in the share capital of Steltor Corporation.

Oracle’s legal team was led by U.S. in-house counsel Matthew Ng and Cisco Villalta, assisted by Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, with a team led by Nathalie Beauregard (corporate), and assisted by Geneviève Dufour and Sandra Gaudreault (corporate), Louise Patry (labour) and Angelo Nikolakakis (tax).

Steltor Inc. was represented by Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, with a team led by Louis Clément (corporate), and assisted by Vitale Santoro (securities), Sophie Lizé (corporate), Stefan Martin (intellectual property) and Richard Gauthier (tax).
