Oxford Properties Purchases LaCité Residential Complex

Oxford Properties (“Oxford”) completed the acquisition from vendors being part of Gestion Première Alliance (“Gestion Première Alliance”) of the LaCité residential complex in Montreal, for approximately $232,000,000.

Oxford was represented by in-house counsels Renée Vézina and Gawain Smart and by a team from McCarthy Tétrault LLP composed of James Papadimitriou, Valérie Mac-Seing, Stéphanie Gilcher, Annie Gagnon-Laroque, Sébastien Thomas and Sylvie Vandal (real estate); Frédéric Harvey, Wendy Brousseau, Ylang Ha and Ryan Rabinovitch (tax) and Rachel Solyom (labour).

Gestion Première Alliance was represented by a Borden Ladner Gervais LLP team composed of Sylvie Bouvette, Natasha Miklaucic and François Morin (tax); François Longpré and André Royer (labour) and Line Abecassis.

The acquisition was financed by The Toronto-Dominion Bank represented by a Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP team composed of Richard Clare, Tasha Lackman and Jonathan Cohen.
