Paul Schabas elected treasurer of LSUC

Paul Schabas was elected to lead the Law Society of Upper Canada as its 66th treasurer, replacing Janet Minor in the role. Schabas has been a bencher since 2007 and chaired several committees including the Human Rights Monitoring Group. Schabas is a senior litigator at Blakes where he acts on complex cases in commercial, tax and regulatory law, as well as constitutional and media law. He was recently mentioned in “Advancing Women in the Legal Profession” (Lexpert, May 2016 issue) as a mentor and advocate for equality rights.
