Precision Castparts Corp. (“PCC”) acquired Centra Industries Inc (“Centra”) for an undisclosed price payable in cash.
Precision Castparts Corp. (NYSE: PCP) is a worldwide manufacturer of complex metal components and products. The company provides investment castings, forgings and fasteners/fastener systems for critical aerospace and industrial gas turbine (IGT) applications. It also provides aero-structures for the aerospace industry, and investment castings and forgings for general industrial, armament, medical and other applications.
Centra is a leading manufacturer of complex aerostructures components for the world's major commercial and military aircraft programs including Boeing 737, 747, 777 and 787, Bombardier RJ and Business Jets, Airbus A-380 and Lockheed Martin F35. In 2007, Centra undertook a recapitalization transaction with Boston-based private equity firm New Heritage Capital and today has over 400 employees.
