Pretium Resources Closes Offering of Common Shares

Pretium Resources Inc. (“Pretium”) closed its offering of an aggregate of 5,554,500 common shares at an offering price of $14.50 for gross proceeds of $80,540,250, including exercise in full of the over-allotment option. The offering was made pursuant to a prospectus supplement dated May 3, 2012, to the company's short form base shelf prospectus dated March 19, 2012, and was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by Scotia Capital Inc. Proceeds of the offering will be used towards ongoing exploration at Pretium's Brucejack Project in northwestern British Columbia.
