On September 28, 2016, French car manufacturer the PSA Group (PSA) and Montréal-based merchant bank MacKinnon, Bennett & CO (MKB) acquired a stake in Communauto.
Founded in 1994, Communauto Inc. is one of the largest car-sharing services in North America.
Communauto was represented by Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, with a team that included Philippe Johnson and Fred Purkey (tax) and Chrystelle Chevalier-Gagnon and Christina Sauro, with the assistance of Laurent Marville and Vincent Colas of Reinhart Marville Torre (Paris).
