Reitmans Acquires Shirmax Fashions

On June 7, 2002, Reitmans (Canada) Limited acquired Montreal-based Shirmax Fashions Ltd. by way of a takeover bid for approximately $86 million. The acquisition was financed by Bank of Montreal and The Toronto-Dominion Bank.
