Rogers Media Raises $500M

On August 15, 2001, Rogers Media Inc., the broadcasting and publishing unit of Rogers Communications Inc., which established Canada’s first all new radio station and which publishes such magazines as Maclean's and Chatelaine, completed a $500 million syndicated bank financing led by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Rogers Media Inc. relied on John McIninch and Emil Pellicer of Torys. The lenders were advised by Jon Levin and David Coultice of the Toronto office of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP.
