TD Bank Financial Transfers Assets to AGF Subsidiary

TD Bank Financial Group sold its third-party portfolio valuation business and shareholder record-keeping business to AdminSource Inc., a subsidiary of AGF Management Limited, resulting in TD transferring in excess of $8 billion of assets under administration to AdminSource. The deal closed on January 31, 2002.

AdminSource and AGF were represented by AGF general counsel Judy Goldring and Stikeman Elliott. The Stikeman team was headed by William Braithwaite and consisted of Jennifer Northcote and Robert Mason (corporate), Lorna Cuthbert (employment and pensions) and John Lorito (tax).

Acting for TD were Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, together with in-house counsel Jean Estabrook, Adriana Groskopf and Alan Wheable, TD Bank Financial Group.
