Turcot Interchange Replacement Project reaches financial close

On February 27, 2015, KPH Turcot was awarded the $1.54-billion contract to design and build the main infrastructures of the Turcot Interchange in Montréal by the ministère des Transports du Québec, with the assistance of Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI). This is one of Québec’s largest infrastructure projects, which consists of the reconstruction of four major interchanges, including the Turcot Interchange. The Turcot Interchange is one of the most important interchanges in Québec and has over 300,000 vehicles in daily travel. It is a hub in terms of road traffic in the Montréal area since it connects to Highways 15, 20 and 720 in addition to facilitating access to the Champlain Bridge. It is also a vital link between the airport and downtown Montreal. The project is expected to be completed in 2020 with a total budget of $3.67 billion.

KPH Turcot is composed of Construction Kiewit Cie and Parsons Canada Ltée as prime members, and WSP Canada Inc. and Holcim (Canada) Inc. as principal subcontractors.

SQI and the ministère des Transports du Québec were represented internally by Natalie Mills and by Dentons Canada LLP, with a team that included Mathilde Carrière, Anca Neacsu and Charles Bardou.
