Partner in the firm’s Toronto office. Extensive experience with public company merger & acquisition transactions and with corporate finance matters. Recent merger & acquisition transactions include the competing take-over bids by Royal Gold and Franco-Nevada for International Royalty Corporation and the bids by Xstrata plc and Norilsk Nickel for LionOre Nickel. Acts for both corporate issuers of securities and underwriters/investors in public financings. Recent corporate finance transactions include acting for the underwriters to finance several Canadian real estate investment trusts. Lectures securities law seminars for students of University of Western Ontario and University of Windsor. Contributing editor to Corporate Financing, a Press publication. Director of the Woodbridge Group and the WB Family Foundation, and the Osler Bluff Ski Club. Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1982.
