Competition and international trade law practice involving regulatory clearance for acquisitions, mergers and joint venture transactions, representation of participants in federal tribunals with jurisdiction over competition and trade law matters and provides counselling and compliance planning. Worked with clients in a variety of industries including food and beverage, retail and wholesale distribution, financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, energy, publishing, and is well known for his work in retail banking and payments industries. Involved in many of the major cases before the federal Competition Tribunal since its creation in 1986. Served as a consultant to government ministries and departments with respect to competition and international trade law matters. Member of the Competition Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, and Antitrust and International Trade Law Sections of the American Bar Association.
