Partner whose expertise includes securities law and all aspects of business mergers & acquisitions, as well as financing of public and private companies, take-over bids and equity participation. He has played a major part, both in Québec and abroad, in the growth of several important Québec businesses and he was in charge of major transactions that had considerable impact on the development and restructuring of financial institutions in Québec. In 2001, the Québec government appointed him Chair of the task force on the regulation of the financial sector in Québec. Mr. Martineau has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hydro-Québec and continues to serve on several boards of directors of public and private companies, including those of Groupe Jean Coutu (PJC) Inc., Sanimax Industries Inc., and Groupe Accueil International Ltée.
