Partner in the litigation section. Practice is focused on franchising and commercial leasing disputes. Extensive background in trial and appellate litigation; has appeared before all levels of Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal of Ontario, and the SCC. Regularly advises various franchisors, master franchisees, and area franchisees on all aspects of franchising. Has extensive experience in the mediation and arbitration of commercial disputes. Established, and acted as counsel on behalf of, an association of all retired hockey players in their pension dispute with the National Hockey League. Member of LSUC, CBA, ATLA, CFA, and ABA Forum on Franchising. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1984 following his graduation from the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto in 1982.
