Tim Murphy, former chief of staff to Canada’s prime minister, assists consortia, lenders, and governments in project financing major infrastructure assets across Canada. He has extensive experience in construction, energy, and procurement. He is currently chairman of the public authority building the Gordie Howe Bridge through a P3 model. He is the author of the leading text “Public-Private Partnerships in Canada: Law, Policy and Value for Money” and is the author/editor of the textbook “Construction Law in Canada”. He has an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School and is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He is CEO and managing partner at McMillan LLP and a managing director of McMillan Vantage Policy Group, a public policy advisory firm. He serves on the board of directors of Morguard REIT, one of Canada’s leading real estate companies, and is chairman of the board of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, the city’s housing agency with more than 111,000 tenants. He has previously served as a member of provincial parliament in the Ontario legislature.
