Clare A. Sullivan

Partner and member of the firm’s tax group. Clare’s practice focuses on estate, tax and succession planning, including cross-border planning, wills, trusts, estate administration, domestic contracts and related areas of tax law. She provides advice to business owners concerning personal tax, succession and estate planning. Clare also acts for individuals with foreign residency and citizenship issues affecting their estates and succession planning. She has represented many trust and estate fiduciaries and beneficiaries, including foreign beneficiaries, in the resolution of disputes and litigation support. She provides counsel to professional fiduciaries, including banks and trust companies. Clare has also advised on commercial trusts such as mutual fund trusts and income trusts. She is a member of the Estate Practitioners Group (Toronto), three OBA Sections (Trusts and Estates, Taxation Law and Family Law) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Clare is also a past president of the Toronto Estate Planning Council. Admitted to the Ontario Bar (1982).
