Partner and member of the firm’s Real Estate Group and commercial leasing team. Lloyd is Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Real Estate Law and has been practising in the field for over 35 years. He is involved in the acquisition, management, leasing and sale of properties and has significant experience in the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts. With a focus on commercial leasing, Lloyd designs and drafts lease documents for differing types of developments, represents landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and provides advice regarding lease defaults and remedies. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (Greater Toronto Chapter) and the Building Owners and Managers Association (Toronto). Lloyd is a former board member of the Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute Advisory Board at Georgetown University Law Center, Department of Continuing Legal Education. He has spoken at numerous programs concerning commercial leasing, including those organized by the Real Property Association of Canada, the LSUC and the OBA.
