Louis regularly advises clients in the transportation industry with all aspects of regulatory compliance and corporate commercial law matters, including debt and equity financings, venture capital, shareholder agreements, share/asset purchase and sale transactions, and various types of commercial contracts. He is a past president, and former Director (Ontario) of the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association. Louis has served as a Representative-at-Large on the Executive Committee of the Transportation Lawyers Association (US) since April 2010 and is a member of the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters, Ontario Motor Coach Association and the Ontario Trucking Association. He is a frequent speaker on regulatory issues affecting the transportation industry, including safety and compliance, freight claims, and border security. Louis was co-editor of The Transportation Lawyer (2006-07) and has written a number of articles and papers for the transportation Bar.
