Darryl Pankratz is a Partner and member of Alexander Holburn’s Aviation and Insurance Practices. His practice is primarily litigation-based with an emphasis on issues relating to the aviation industry. Mr. Pankratz provides counsel to regional, national, and international airlines, as well as their insurers, on complex litigation and regulatory matters, including responding to aircraft accidents involving passenger, cargo, and product liability claims. He represents and advises numerous airport authorities throughout Canada, as well as aircraft manufacturers, AMOs, and airport security organizations. He has appeared at all levels of court in BC and also conducts litigation across Canada, including Ontario, Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. Darryl has been included in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Aviation (Regulation & Liability) since 2012, The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2010 and named 2022 Best Lawyers in Canada “Lawyer of the Year” for Aviation Law, Vancouver, Who’s Who Legal: Canada 2013–2023, Benchmark Litigation since 2018, and was has been included in the Guide to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers since 2013.
