Michael Barrack has litigated at every level of court in Canada, and has appeared in proceedings in the US and England. He has led dozens of cases ranging from criminal jury trials to civil and constitutional appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada. Michael has been described in Who’s Who Legal: Canada 2016 as “a determined and tenacious lawyer who has acted on some of Canada’s most significant litigation disputes.” He has also been noted in Benchmark Canada: The Definitive Guide to Canada’s Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys 2015 as “possessing superior trial savvy, with a clinical, strategic approach that is never a bulldog tantrum approach. It’s more a street-fighter-meets-chess-player approach.” Michael is a past president of The Advocates’ Society, a Founding Director of Pro Bono Law Ontario and past chair of the Advisory Board of Heart and Stroke Foundation – Ontario.
