Nigel Campbell is a partner who practises in the areas of corporate, commercial and securities litigation law at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Leading experience in securities litigation, including securities class action litigation. Leading experience defending multi-jurisdictional investigations and civil proceedings. Has developed an extensive capital markets defence practice before the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association and all other securities regulatory organizations in Canada. Leading experience in director, officer and shareholder litigation with emphasis on indemnification and oppression disputes. Has a wide range of experience acting for investment dealers with respect to a variety of regulatory investigations and civil disputes, including professional negligence defence litigation. Member of the OSC Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee. Former OSC Senior Investigation Counsel. Law clerk to Mr. Justice R.A. Ritchie of the Supreme Court of Canada in 1981.
