Casey Chisick is Certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Intellectual Property Law (Copyright). His practice includes entertainment & media, intellectual property, communications, and brand management, with particular expertise in the collective administration of copyright. Casey acts as transactional and litigation counsel to clients in music, film, TV, broadcasting, higher education, theatre, publishing, fashion, visual arts, advertising, and new media, as well as other businesses with IP needs. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, the courts of Ontario and BC, and the Copyright Board of Canada. Casey is recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers Global, Best Lawyers, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, Managing Intellectual Property, IP Stars, and Expert Guides. He was named one of Lexpert’s "Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40" in 2011. Casey was the gold medallist in law at the University of Manitoba, earned an LLM as a Fulbright and Frank Knox Scholar at Harvard Law School, and served as law clerk to The Hon.
