Alex Moore is a partner in the mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, corporate/commercial, mining, and energy practices. He has advised clients in a number of industries but has significant experience in the mining, energy, technology and communications sectors. He has been involved in a broad range of transactions, including public company M&A, initial public offerings, proxy contests, contested transactions and private equity transactions. Alex regularly advises companies and significant shareholders of Canadian public companies on their rights and obligations under Canadian corporate and securities laws. He has advised on many of Canada’s most high-profile proxy contests and contested transactions. Alex teaches mergers and acquisitions as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and previously taught securities law at the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law.
