A partner and the coordinator of the Tax practice in Davies’ Montréal office, Marie-Emmanuelle works closely with clients, primarily in Canada and the United States, on all aspects of their domestic and international tax planning. She advises clients on tax matters across a broad range of critical business activities, including corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, financings and restructurings. Marie-Emmanuelle regularly acts for public and private companies and their shareholders, as well as pension and investment funds. She also has significant expertise in advising high-net-worth clients on their estate tax planning and trust matters. From 2004 to 2006, Marie-Emmanuelle practised at a leading international law firm in Geneva, Switzerland, where she focused on international tax, estate planning and immigration/emigration solutions. She is a frequent lecturer and speaker and is actively involved in the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Association de planification fiscale et financière.
