Andrea Johnson is a partner in the Corporate group of the Dentons Ottawa office. She serves on Dentons’ Canada Board of Directors and is a member of the Dentons Global Board. Her practice focuses on M&A, corporate finance and securities law, with an emphasis on technology and emerging growth companies. She has extensive experience in the private equity and venture capital area and has acted as lead counsel on many of the largest VC financings in Canada. Andrea also advises TSX-listed companies on IPOs, financings (including PIPEs), stock-based compensation and corporate governance. Andrea has acted as a director and officer of public, private and not-for-profit corporations, and has completed the Directors Education Program (DEP) of the Institute for Corporate Directors. She has also served in global and national practice and sector group leadership roles for Dentons.

The investment, which is the second institutional financing since Complete Innovations’ inception in 2000, provides liquidity to shareholders of Complete Innovations, including its prior institutional investor, Symmetric Capital, and additional capital to further accelerate the company’s growth.
Patheon Inc. completed a court-approved statutory plan of arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act under which Patheon was acquired for US$9.32 per share in cash resulting in a total enterprise value for Patheon of approximately US$1.98 billion.
